Something with horns and old bandages and a considerable amount of history is holding a very small tabby kitten in both hands, carefully, looking down at it.
The intake notes were extensive. There had been incidents, there had been a stretch everybody now refers to as the difficult years, and several previous approaches had been tried without much success. This one was put forward more or less as a last resort and nobody involved expected it to take.
Six months. No incidents. The kitten's name is Brenda.
